Charles and Nancy Harrington
Biography
They have resided in the Tigard 1st Ward almost 20 years. They both have Swedish ancestry and discovered ArkivDigital in Dec 2009 when visiting the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. A missionary couple from Sweden allowed them to use their own access to ArkivDigital at the library and they have been using it ever since. More recently the online version of ArkivDigital has become available at all Family History Centers. Charles and Nancy together have researched and downloaded over 4,000 source images of the original church books using ArkivDigital. They both use RootsMagic and have attached original source images obtained from ArkivDigital to their RootsMagic records to provide the source documentation. They have learned over the years how to search families and individuals from their birth, marriage, marriage of their children, to their deaths. Birth records show parents and where the child was born so tracing back as far as the records exist is made fairly easy using ArkivDigital. Household records show the entire family and are updated at least annually. Charles is a former Family History Center director and they both have served two couple missions in Finland. They are the parents of 4 children and have 10 grandchildren.

Swedish Family History Research Using ArkivDigital
ArkivDigital is an online Swedish Registry of Parish records. Families and individuals can be searched from their birth, marriage, marriage of their children, to their deaths. Birth records show parents and where the child was born so tracing back as far as the records exist is made fairly easy using ArkivDigital. Household records show the entire family and are updated at least annually.
